Hi Ghayas! Tell us about yourself.

Hi, my name is Ghayasuddin Kaifi and I am the Operations Manager at Roshni Rides. I have been working at the company for over a year now and am happy to say I was the first employee!

Why/How did you get into your profession? 

I received a Hotel Management degree and was working at the Sheraton Hotel (now Movenpick) in Karachi.  Unfortunately there was an explosion at the hotel, so the management switched me into the transportation department. I decided to stay in that department and continue in the field of transportation because I enjoyed it. I then moved into a role at Careem Pakistan.

What are your interests/hobbies? 

What led you to working with Roshni Rides? 

I read about the Roshni Rides team on the internet and how they won the Hult Prize. This led me to want to work with their team.

What is the most difficult part of your job? 

I can manage a lot of work and do well in high pressure situations which is a good quality to have in operations. But I like to focus on my work quietly without any interruptions.

What is your favorite meal? 

Mutton Karrahi is my favorite food.
